Second Generation Shaklee
Shaklee has always been a part of my life. I’m what some would call a “Shaklee Baby” and I’m very proud of that…at least, now I am!
When I was in elementary school, I definitely didn’t appreciate or understand how wonderful Shaklee products were. I found it irritating to take vitamins with my breakfast so when my mom wasn’t looking I would hide them under the couch cushion, thinking I’d pulled one over on her! It seemed unfair to me that all the kids in my class except me got to have “sick days” and miss school - I wanted to be sick, too!! I remember my mom allowing me to have a “mental health day” on occasion, simply allowing me to skip school once in awhile so I could be more like my friends.
A lot changed for me in middle school. I began to get more serious about playing tennis; boys began to enter the picture; and being accepted by my classmates was top priority during those awkward years. That meant I didn’t want to ever get sick because I didn’t want to ever miss a tennis match or a party or a dance. It also meant trying to avoid the hormonal skin eruptions that I was beginning to develop as an adolescent. So while I rebelled against Shaklee as a young child, I began to appreciate the products as a middle schooler. Taking the vitamins or drinking the protein shakes was no longer a big deal.
During high school, I actually looked forward to taking my supplements every morning. They gave me energy throughout the day and I avoided the “3 o’clock slump” many of my teammates and friends suffered from. I drank Shaklee Performance during tennis matches (it’s like Gatorade but has twice the electrolytes, half the sugar and no artificial colors or preservatives) and I ate Shaklee’s high protein bars (Cinch Snack Bars) to play my best. At this time, I was also grateful for Shaklee’s natural skin care system Enfuselle. I noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin from daily use of the face wash, toner, acne complex and masque. Enfuselle truly was a life saver for teenage skin! I think I was the only one out of all my friends who didn’t need to wear foundation or concealer, my teenage skin was that good.
Shaklee continues to influence me as I enter my mid-20’s. Shaklee keeps me feeling and looking my best. I chose to specialize in Holistic Studies as a part of my graduate counseling degree because of my belief in wellness and a holistic lifestyle, much of which is rooted in my lifelong exposure to Shaklee. Their 50+ year heritage of helping everyone live a better and healthier life with natural, safe, sustainable products aligns with my own beliefs.
I’ve come a long way from being a Shaklee baby and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I’m proud to be able to carry Shaklee tradition forward to my own children and clients someday. Thanks, Mom, for introducing me to Shaklee and thanks to all of you for taking the time to visit our web site and for reading our story. Please stay awhile to discover how Shaklee can support you in your commitment to living a healthier life.
First I fell in love with the products…
My Shaklee story first begins with the products. I began using Shaklee products several years ago when my fiancè Mallory introduced them to me. She had been using them her whole life and explained the benefits to me. I figured what do I have to lose? There’s a 100% money back guarantee. At the time, I was finishing up my degree in economics and working full time. My schedule was very full and I could not afford to take any sick days.
I am proud to say that after years of using Vitalizer® strips, NutriFeron®, Vivix®, Shaklee 180®, and the Get Clean® products, I have never felt better. Now, not only am I not getting sick, I have much more energy throughout the day. I am also proud to be using products that are always natural, always safe, and are a lot better for the planet.
Then the opportunity…
With the job market becoming a “take what you can get” atmosphere, there has to be a better way to approach this new economy. I didn’t want a job where the pay is good, but I don’t have time to enjoy it. To me, “time freedom” is just as important as “money freedom.”
I am excited to live my life, as I want to see it. I am sharing Shaklee products and a way of life that truly make people and the planet healthier. I am doing what I love, spending time with people I care about, exercising, and playing with our dogs Bea and Knox, all while building our Shaklee business.
